Travel Guide- Pt. Pleasant, NJ & Jenkinson’s Boardwalk+ Giveaway

Summer time to us means plenty of beach and family time. We usually spend our summer camping near Long Beach Island but decided to spend this summer exploring more of New Jersey and we started with Pt. Pleasant and Jenkinson’s Boardwalk. If you’re from New Jersey you’ve undoubtedly heard of it before. It’s a one stop spot perfect for families, with everything from a beautiful, clean beach to an aquarium, mini golf, adventure course and more.

We decide to make a day trip out of our visit since it is a reasonable driving distance from our home. We had a great time visiting and despite our day starting out with a lady backing into my car at full speed, we have nothing but good memories of our trip there!

First we visited Jenkinson’s Aquarium. My boys LOVE visiting aquariums and learning all about the fish, reptiles and other sea creatures they see there. I personally love Jenkinson’s Aquarium because it’s the perfect size, especially for families with young children. Their exhibits make it easy to view the animals and are fun and interactive. They have two touch tanks and we found the staff that were working them to be extremely friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

After leaving the Aquarium we decided to stroll down the entire boardwalk and then make our way back up. There are tons of cute little stores to shop in and lots of amazing smelling restaurants and dessert shops if you’re hungry.

As soon as our kids saw the carnival ride area they were begging us to go in. There were plenty of rides for both of our sons, ages 4 and 2 and even some rides for adults if you’re feeling adventurous. You can buy tickets but also look out for wristband specials and other specials like grandparent discounts.

We strolled past the Adventure Lookout Ropes Course and can’t wait to come back and try it out one day. They have two courses, one for those kids over 48″ (42″ with an adult) and one for adults. Our older son could have tried it with one of us but our younger son doesn’t like to be left out and thinks he’s quite adventurous! The mini golf places looked like so much fun too. Our kids wanted to go play on the beach for a bit which is easily accessed directly from the boardwalk so we ended our day there.

The beach area in Pt. Pleasant is so beautiful and clean. They have several shower and bathroom stations and they also rent chairs and umbrellas. If you forgot anything else it’s easy to just walk up to the boardwalk and buy sunscreen, beach toys and food.

Have you ever been to Jenkinson’s Boardwalk? What’s your favorite part of it? If you haven’t visited be sure to add it to your list this summer! Jenkinson’s Boardwalk has been kind enough to offer our viewers a family 4 pack (valued at $400) to experience all of the fun at the boardwalk. Enter below!

Sounds like a lot of fun! This year we are definitely going to explore our own area for things to do. I live in South Florida, but rarely do I see the sights.
