It’s that time of the year, the one where everyone stresses over what gifts to get their family and friends! Luckily we are done with 90% of our Christmas shopping already so I thought I would share some of our favorite gift ideas for your little ones. We try to stay away from toys and focus more on activities and useful items for the kids. Our biggest gift this year will be building a treehouse for our boys. We have most of the plans thought up, so we will probably draw something and then wrap it up for them to open on Christmas morning. The best part of it will be that the boys can “help” us build it which they both enjoy doing. Now onto the rest of the gift ideas!
Play
This learning tower is the perfect gift for anyone on your list ages 18mths-6 years. Both of my children (4 and 1) absolutely love it. It makes cooking and cleaning in the kitchen so much easier with them. The ‘natural” colored one is my top choice because it fits in perfectly with our kitchen.
These handmade play mats make the perfect gifts for toddlers, preschoolers and school aged children. Ruth’s shop is full of other amazing felt and wooden toys. My favorite thing about her play mats it that they roll up for easy storage and are great for taking on a road trip as they take up very little space and can be played with in your child’s lap.
A gathre mat is an essential item in my opinion. Although this one can qualify as a gift for the parents too, my children absolutely love it. We love going on picnics and adventures together and my children often pretend our blanket is a boat or some other fun object. Why is this mat so amazing you ask? Well it is made of bonded leather so it is waterproof and wipeable, plus it folds very compactly and takes up almost no space at all. Perfect for leaving in your back seat for the park, or wherever else you might be headed. I’m super excited to take it to the beach with us this summer, no more sandy blanket!

Activities
Tickets to snow tubing/skiing/snowboarding would make the perfect gift! I’m so excited for this year because we decided to eliminate the physical gifts between cousins and instead will be taking them snow tubing together. If you’re in the NJ/NY/PA area I suggest checking out Shawnee Mountain.
Some other ideas we had were gift certificates to:
-indoor rock climbing
-laser tag
-paint pottery class
-indoor water park
Wear
Lookie Loo Loo is one of our favorite kids’ brands. We use their number shirts every year for birthday photos. In addition to their line of clothing they make bedding and accessories. If you love color then this is the place for you to shop!

Ahoy Amigo is my go to shop for the boys this year! I am in love with their latest collection, wander the high seas. It’s full of neutrals and speaks to our adventurous side. I wish their shirts and leggings came in adult size because you better believe i’d be wearing them every day.

If you’re in need of a cute pregnancy announcement shirt this holiday season, look no further! My friend Jenn from Little Faces Apparel is the creator of the “big little” “middle little” and “little little” you’ve probably seen taking social media by storm. In addition to those adorable shirts she has a full line of clothing including beanies!

Can we talk about this cuteness right here?! Another favorite clothing shop of ours is FAWN Kids Clothing. Amanda, the owner, designs her pieces with comfort and style in mind.
So there you have, just a few of our favorite gift ideas for your little ones! Have any other great ideas? We’d love to hear them, leave us a comment!
