This past weekend we went to visit Field Station: Dinosaurs. If you’re local to the NJ/NY area this post is for you! Field Station: Dinosaurs is a life size dinosaur zoo to put it simply. They have several dinosaur replicas set amongst their make shift camp where visitors are free to walk around and learn about dinosaurs. They also offer several shows and activities scheduled throughout the day such as a 3-D movie, a fossil dig, a “feeding frenzy” show where we learned more about the eating habits of dinosaurs and more, dinosaur dance party, fossils up close, story time and more!
Field Station: Dinosaurs is located near New York in Bergen County, NJ. There is a large parking lot and the exhibit is stroller friendly. There are tents set up for shade so you can still visit on a hot day like we did this past weekend. There is a large tent set up for dining and they do offer a small menu of lunch items. Ticket prices are reasonable and they also offer a season pass.
We spent the morning walking around and viewing the dinosaur replicas, each dinosaur has an informative bulletin next to it so you can learn more about them. Our 3 year old son absolutely LOVED walking around looking at the dinosaurs. Dinosaurs are his favorite thing right now and it’s amazing to see how much he enjoys learning about them.
Here are a few pictures we took while visiting. I highly recommend visiting Field Station: Dinosaurs if you’re local or visiting the area.
Be sure to visit Field Station: Dinosaurs on Facebook, Instagram and their website.
